Although our primary skills are stone and lime based, over the years, along with expanding our own skills we have developed a working relationship with a wide range of associated trades including roofers, carpenters, joiners, lead workers, lime plasterers, blacksmiths and glaziers.

With this skill base and our experience in co-ordinating trades efficiently we can offer a comprehensive service.  We have been assessed as compliant by the accredited Contractors Health and Safety scheme (CHAS), which is a requirement for many public and private institutions.

As a small company, with rarely more than two jobs running at the same time, you can be sure of our undivided attention.

At our workshop and yard near Glastonbury, Somerset, we cut and carve stone for building repair projects and for new works, such as fireplaces and windows.

On site we carry out rebuilds and the reinforcement of unstable masonry, the replacement or piecing in of weathered or damaged stone and the construction of new masonry. New works have ranged from steps, paving and garden features to alterations and additions to buildings.

We approach all jobs with the premise that we first repair the existing and only replace when the original can no longer function, and may as a result be causing further damage to the building.

We have many years experience in the use of putty and hydraulic limes for building, repointing and repair works.

We offer a stone cleaning service using a variety of methods specific to the type of dirt or staining and the condition of the building. These include manual cleaning and poultices, intermittent sprays, the DOFF steam cleaner and the JOS low pressure abrasive cleaner.
